A collection of drawings, sketches, abstracts, random thoughts, ideas, images, dreams, frustrations and feelings put to paper via charcoal, conte, pastel, and pencil with the goal of possibly having these pictures considered as art.
What is Daily Charcoal?
These drawings stemmed from a conversation I had with an artist at an art show, he told me a quote from Chuck Jones (Warner Brother’s cartoons), “You have 50,000 terrible drawings, images, pictures inside you. The sooner you get them out, the sooner you will be able to create real art”.
For some reason this quote resonated with me. In an attempt to get rid of some of the terrible images inside me I just started drawing and putting ideas to paper.
Lastly this is somewhat of a visual diary. The culmination of a a day’s events, feelings, and thoughts put to paper.
I look forward to critique and commentary. Hopefully you will like some of my images.

Great image and concept!
I like your take on the wolf in sheeps clothing - far from the obvious image, well done.
woah. i almost didn't even see the wolf. the greens and blacks are gorgeous together.

I was getting a little disheartend after my first two entries got the cold shoulder.
good work, i didn't spot the wolf right away either.
don't worry about how many comments you get. if you add a stat counter you'll notice even though you may get few comments you get a lot of views.

I had to look again for the wolf! Good illustration! Don't worry about comments...I don't get a whole lot either, especially when I first joined, even though I think I comment on a lot of people's. Just be happy with what you do, that's all that matters :)
I like it. It would make a good wallpaper.
